Ivins, UT (August 13, 2022) – A teenager was hit by a car on Tuesday, August 9th in Ivins during a crash that police say was due in part to insufficient lighting.
Officials said the incident took place at about 6:30 a.m. in the area of Desert Rose Way and 200 East, just before the sun came up. The cyclist and the driver were both on 200 East. The driver attempted to make a righthand turn onto Desert Rose Way and struck the teenager.
The 14-year-old flew over the hood of the car and struck the windshield, cracking the glass. across the driver’s side.
His current condition is unknown.
