Provo, UT (November 03, 2021) – A teenage pedestrian was hit by a car on Tuesday, November 2nd morning, the third similar episode in Utah in just a couple of days.
At about 7:20 a.m., a 16-year-old boy was struck by a sedan as he crossed Canyon Road near 3460 North in Provo. Reports show he was inside of a marked crosswalk when the accident occurred.
The woman driving the car was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
Police said they have ruled out speeding and impairment as factors.
The teenager was taken to the ICU of a local hospital with several bone fractures. He was in serious condition but is expected to recover.
