Park City, UT (November 29, 2021) – A 56-year-old man died from injuries he sustained after he was hit by a car on Saturday, November 29th in Summit County.
At about 9:00 a.m., a BMW collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Ute Boulevard and State Route 224. Following the crash, the BMW went over a raised divider and struck a man who was standing nearby.
Troopers are investigating whether or not the BMW ran the light at the intersection.
The man was transported by paramedics to a local hospital with critical injuries. He passed on Monday morning. His name has not been released.
After striking the pedestrian, the BMW drove onto oncoming traffic, hitting a third vehicle. The driver of the third vehicle fled the scene.
