Logan, UT (July 16, 2021) – One man was killed following a collision between a Sport Utility Vehicle and a motorcycle in Logan on the evening of Thursday, July 15th.
The accident took place at about 8:00 p.m. on US-89-91 in the area of 3100 South.
According to an official with the Logan City Police Department, a motorcyclist was riding southbound on the inside lane of US 89-91 when a Hyundai Palisade tried to enter the highway on the northbound side by making a lefthand turn off of 2000 West.
When the SUV pulled out in the southbound lanes, it was directly in the path of the motorcyclist, who then crashed into the driver’s side of the passenger vehicle.
The biker, a male estimated to be in his 20s, sustained critical injuries.
Emergency medics performed CPR on the man as he was transferred into a waiting EMS unit which took him to Logan Regional Hospital. Medical professionals pronounced him dead a short while later.
The identity of the deceased has not been reported pending notification of next of kin.
This crash is under investigation by local law enforcement.
