Taylorsville, UT (August 15, 2021) – A pedestrian walking down a street in Taylorsville was transported by paramedics to Intermountain Health Center on the morning of Sunday, August 15th after he was struck by a vehicle.
According to Taylorsville Police, the pedestrian was walking alongside the eastbound lanes of 4100 South in the area of 1300 West when he was hit.
Police said that the area has no crosswalks or sidewalks provided for pedestrians and is inadequately lit due to the fact that streetlights are only on the north side of the roadway.
West Valley police officers were called to the scene at about 4:00 a.m.
The driver remained at the scene of the accident and is has so far cooperated with the investigation.
