Holladay, UT – UPDATE: Shane Halloran Dies In Pedestrian Crash On Van Winkle Expy

Holladay, UT (August 4, 2021) – Officials have identified the man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in Holladay on Monday, August 2. 

The fatal crash occurred on the Van Winkle Expressway early that morning at around 3:45 a.m. Local reports later revealed that 25-year-old Shane Halloran of Murray was walking at the 1192 block of E. Van Winkle Expressway at the time of the incident. He was then struck by an oncoming Nissan SUV. 

Local reports revealed that Halloran lived nearby, and officials suspected he may have been walking home at the time of the crash. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officers. No further updates on the deadly pedestrian accident have been provided. 

An ongoing crash investigation is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
