Salt Lake City, UT (April 19, 2021) – Officers from the Salt Lake City Police Department have identified the man who was killed during an illegal street race on Sunday, April 18th as 25-year-old Dakota Enman.
Investigators reported that two cars were racing in the eastbound lanes of 900 South in the area of 3000 West when another vehicle tried to make a U-turn just ahead of the illegal racers resulting in a three-vehicle collision.
Officials stated that Enman, who drove the vehicle attempting the U-turn, sustained critical injuries. He was transported via ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray but was unable to be saved.
The driver of the striking car, a 19-year-old male, remained at the scene and was treated for non-critical injuries.
