North Salt Lake City, UT (September 25, 2020) – An accident that was reported early Thursday morning claimed one man’s life in the Salt Lake City area. Just after 12:30 a.m., on September 24, the Salt Lake City Police Department responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on North Temple Street.
Reports from the SLCPD show that a vehicle collision involving a Nissan sedan and a white Honda sedan took place at the intersection at North Temple Street and State Street. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Nissan, who was identified as an adult female, was injured in the accident. She was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Honda sustained fatal injuries in the accident. The driver, who was only identified as a male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan admitted that she had previously consumed alcohol. Although no charges have been filed, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
