St. George, UT (September 11, 2022) – On Friday, September 9th, at about 3:00 p.m., St. George Police responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash in the area of 400 North and Bluff Street.

Both drivers were males in their late teens to early 20s.

According to sources, the driver of an Audi A6L was attempting to turn northbound from a parking lot onto Bluff Street when he was struck from behind by a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck. The impact caused the vehicle to spin into the landscape of the nearby UFirst Credit Union.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a non-critical foot injury.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Car accidents often leave their victims with severe, debilitating, and even life-threatening injuries. In Utah, you can only file a claim against a negligent driver’s auto insurance policy if your medical costs surpass the $3,000 statutory threshold.

When you are injured in a car accident in Utah, you file a claim against your own Personal Injury Protection policy first.

It is very possible, however, that PIP coverage will simply not be enough to compensate you for the full extent of your damages. When this happens, you can look to the other driver’s liability coverage for financial compensation.

After being hurt in an accident that wasn’t your fault, contact a Utah personal injury attorney from Jardine Law Offices P.C. by calling (801) 451-9555 to schedule a free case assessment and learn how we can help you.
