Ogden, UT (September 05, 2022) – One person was transferred by medical helicopter in moderate condition after sustaining an injury to his back while cliff diving on Sunday, September 4th at Causey Reservoir.
Deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports that a man had broken his back while cliff diving in Weber County.
The victim’s friend was able to pull him ashore, where paramedics were waiting. They then moved him to the causeway and transported him to an area hospital.
The patient’s non-critical condition is attributed to the floatation device he had the presence of mind to wear.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
