Tooele, UT (February 18, 2022) – One person has died and another was injured during a single-vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 80 on Tuesday, February 15th.
The crash took place at about 4:30 p.m. near milepost 57 outside of Knolls in Tooele County.
According to sources, an Infinity was driving in the westbound lanes of the interstate when, for reasons still under investigation, it drifted off the lefthand side of the roadway. The car then overturned several times before coming to a stop in the eastbound lanes.
One of the vehicle’s occupants, an adult male, was ejected and died at the scene.
The other occupant was transported to a local hospital in non-critical condition.
It has not been made clear which of the victims was the driver and which was the passenger.
