Salt Lake Co, UT – Worker Trapped In Equipment Rollover In Cottonwood Heights

Salt Lake Co, UT (September 02, 2021) – A worker was trapped for over an hour after a piece of heavy equipment fell on him on Wednesday, September 1st.

The Unified Fire Authority was dispatched to the scene at Wasatch Boulevard and 4600 South at about 2:30 p.m. A public information officer said that a piece of equipment rolled about 50 feet down an embankment, trapping a worked underneath.   

The rescue was difficult because of the steep angle of the embankment. Special rescue teams were called in.

It took just over an hour to free the victim who was then med flighted to a local trauma center in serious but stable condition.
