Wrongful deaths are deaths that arise from the wrongful act, default, or neglect of another person. Sadly, wrongful deaths are a fairly typical result of car accidents.

In Utah, in 2016, more than 270 victims were killed during deadly auto accidents alone. Several hundred lives are lost each year due to some kind of avoidable accident, like one caused by a defective drug or distracted driver. After a person has died, immediate members of their family may be eligible to hire a Utah wrongful death attorney and seek financial compensation via a civil claim.

When injuries happen in a collision caused by another motorist’s negligence, victims need to seek legal counsel from an accident attorney in Salt Lake City. Whenever somebody is hurt and another person is the cause, they are qualified to obtain compensation for their losses.
