Summit Co, UT – Two Hospitalized In Two-Car Accident On US 40 At I-80

Summit Co, UT (August 24, 2021) – A serious car crash took place near the Interstate 80 ramp from U.S. Highway 40 on Tuesday evening, August 24.

According to the Park City Fire District, two people had to be extricated from their vehicles and transported for emergency medical treatment. Both of the victims were taken to an area medical center in serious condition.

Initial reports from the scene state that two cars collided on Highway 40 in the westbound lanes, close to the ramp to westbound I-80, around 10:45 p.m.

Along with the Park City Fire District, the North Summit Fire District, and the Utah Highway Patrol all responded to the incident. 

Officers say their investigation is ongoing, however, and have not released further details about the events leading up to the wreck.
