Deadly accidents are a danger faced by motorcycle riders more so than the drivers or passengers of any other type of vehicle. While only 3 of vehicles registered in the state of Utah are motorcycles, the Utah Department of Public Safety reports that, in 2017, the state witnesses a total of 273 crash fatalities. Of these, 39, slightly more than 14, were motorcycle riders.
