Tooele Co, UT – I-80 Closed Down After Two-Vehicle Critical Injury Crash Near Lakeside

Tooele Co, UT (August 14, 2022) – On Monday, August 15th, a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 left at least one person with critical injuries in Tooele County. 

According to reports, the incident occurred at about 9:50 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate near the exit for Lakeside when a truck and a car collided. 

All lanes of the interstate were shut down while police and EMTs were requested at the scene. One patient in critical condition was taken to a local hospital. It is unclear if there were any other injuries.   

The cause of this accident is currently under investigation.
