Beryl, UT (August 04, 2022) – A 15-year-old girl was airlifted to a regional hospital on Wednesday, August 4th after being injured during an ATV crash in Beryl.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Department stated that the girl was pulling the four-wheeler out of a driveway in the 200th block of West Center Street at about 7:00 p.m. when it was struck by the side of a passing pick-up towing a horse trailer.

The girl was taken by an Intermountain Life Flight helicopter to St. George Regional Hospital with head trauma.

She is expected to recover.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

More than 180 ATV accidents were reported in Utah in 2016. These accidents left 127 victims seriously injured and caused the deaths of 24 more. Being operated at dangerously high speeds is the main cause of ATV accidents.

The extreme nature of many ATV collision injuries usually leaves victims with pricey medical bills, a lengthy recovery period during which they are unable to work, and, in severe cases, lifelong disabilities that will require ongoing care, robbing the victim of their independence.

ATV accidents often cause their victims to endure serious injuries, including:

When an all-terrain vehicle overturns, its open-air design leaves the occupants especially vulnerable to injuries.
