Lehi, UT (August 21, 2022) – A seven-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle while he was riding his scooter home from North Point Elementary on Friday, August 19th in Lehi.
The student, who was in a marked crosswalk with the activator on at the time of the incident, was hit by a driver who failed to stop.
First responders were on the scene and transported the child in non-critical condition.
Residents of Colony Pointe Park were quick to point out that many of their district’s crosswalks do not have crossing guards.
The driver was issued a citation for failing to yield.
