Washington Co, UT (June 14, 2022) – A woman was killed during a collision between two trucks on Monday, June 13th in Washington County.
Utah Highway Patrol stated that, at about 4:30 p.m., a pick-up truck traveling eastbound on State Route 59 veered across the centerline and crashed head-first into an oncoming truck.
An adult female who was a passenger in the westbound pick-up was fatally injured and pronounced at the scene. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The drivers of both pick-up trucks were taken by ambulances to area hospitals in non-life-threatening conditions.
Driver fatigue is believed to be a contributing factor to the incident.
