Springville, UT (October 26, 2022) – A student who was walking to Springville High School was struck by a pickup truck and severely injured on Tuesday, October 25. The wreck occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m., reports indicate. 

Information from local officials reveals that the accident happened at approximately 7”:45 a.m. near 620 South Canyon Road, near the school. Police in Springville stated that a senior female was attempting to cross the roadway when she was struck by the pickup truck. 

She was then transported to Utah Valley Hospital with serious injuries, however, paramedics stated that she would survive. Information concerning whether the girl was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident has not been reported. 

Police in Springville continue to investigate.
