Sandy, UT (October 18, 2022) – A car accident in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 injured at least one person on Tuesday, October 18th in Sandy.

At about 11:00 a.m., emergency rescuers responded to the area by the off-ramp for 9000 South. Upon their arrival, they found that three passenger vehicles collided with one another. One of the cars crashed head-first into the center barrier.

Troopers shut down the area. EMTs moved at least one victim from the scene.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
