Salt Lake City, UT (November 2, 2022) – A traffic accident closed the westbound lane of a roadway in Salt Lake on the evening of October 31. Shortly before 6:00 p.m., police and other emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the wreck in order to render aid and investigate.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Interstate 80 at 2800 East. Sources said the wreck involved three semi-trucks and happened for reasons still being investigated. The Utah Department of Transportation advised local drivers to use I-215 as an alternative route while the crash scene was occupied by responders.
Paramedics, fire crews, and other responders were seen rendering aid at the crash scene. Currently, the number of injured parties has not been reported. A possible fuel leak may have happened at the scene due to one of the trucks carrying a load of fuel.
Authorities in Salt Lake continue to investigate.
