When you are injured in a Utah car accident, you have two possibilities for obtaining any compensatory damages. You can either file a claim with an insurance carrier or you can file a claim of personal injury in civil court. Utah abides by no-fault insurance laws, which require drivers to carry certain amounts of personal injury protection.
Before you can file a claim with the negligent driver’s insurance company or a personal injury claim, however, you must first file a claim with your insurance company. There are a couple of factors that might exempt you from this rule, such as permanent disabilities or impairment, dismemberment, permanent disfigurement, and medical costs that exceed $3,000.
At Jardine Law Offices P. C., our personal injury lawyers in Salt Lake City make certain that our clients see justice. We do everything possible to get you the full amount of compensation possible for your claim.
It is not your fault that you are unable to work and earn a living as you did before your accident. Consequently, you should not be forced to face the indignity and hardship of bankruptcy caused by an accident that wasn’t your fault.
