Salt Lake City, UT (May 09, 2022) – A construction worker plummeted 26 feet to his death in an industrial accident on Monday, May 9th according to the Salt Lake City Fire Department.
The Fire Captain confirmed the fatality, which took place at about 3:05 p.m. near 2200 West and 2300 North in Salt Lake City.
The worker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Salt Lake City police were also dispatched to the scene to assist in the response.
The deceased was not immediately identified.
No additional details, including the victim’s employer, and what caused the fall, have been released.
Utah Occupational Safety and Health is investigating the death.
