If you want to take legal action by filing a claim of personal injury, you have a very specific window of time in which to do so. This time limit, known as the statute of limitations, varies from state to state. Once the deadline has passed, any attempt at filing a claim will be denied by the courts. In Utah, a crash victim is given four years from the day the accident occurred to file their claim.
Your time to file is very short in these cases, hiring an experienced car accident attorney is the best way to build your claim, defend your rights, and obtain the financial compensation to which you are entitled.
