Salt Lake City, UT (April 6, 2022) – A pedestrian accident reported on Monday afternoon claimed the life of one woman. On April 4, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an accident at the Salt Lake City Airport parking garage.
Reports from authorities show that 29-year-old Charlotte Sturgeon was standing next to her SUV and small child in the parking garage just before 2:40 p.m. For unknown reasons, she was struck by the vehicle.
The driver of the SUV was arrested for homicide while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Sturgeon suffered severe injuries. She was rushed to an area hospital where she passed away.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
