Lehi, UT (May 26, 2022) –  A man riding a motorcycle was taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries after he collided with a passenger vehicle on Tuesday, May 24th.

A representative from the Lehi Police Department said that the motorcyclist was riding westbound along 1700 North at about 7:30 p.m. when he crashed into a car in the area of 3220 West.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a padded riding jacket and a helmet, was ejected from his bike onto the asphalt.

Police have estimated that the rider was only traveling somewhere around 30 to 40 miles per hour when the incident took place.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Filing a Claim After a Utah Motorcycle Accident

When a biker is hurt during a motorcycle accident, the physical and economic losses can be huge and the path to full recovery is usually quite long. If you were injured in a motorcycle accident that you feel was the result of somebody else’s irresponsible behavior, we urge you to talk to a Utah motorcycle injury lawyer with decades of experience in representing victims of these kinds of accidents.

An experienced Utah motorcycle crash attorney will have a thorough knowledge of legal procedures as they apply to your case and will be able to handle your claim from beginning to end. Hiring professional legal counsel will significantly improve your odds of being awarded the full and fair compensation that you deserve for the damages you have endured.

Accidents that involve motorcycles are typically viewed as one of the most serious kinds of crashes because motorcycles are normally ridden at high speeds and provide none of their occupants with any safety features. In addition, studies have revealed that nearly 98% of all motorcycle accidents end with some degree of injury.

Sadly, it is not uncommon for any motor vehicle accident to cause severe injuries or death. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that a person riding a motorcycle is at eight times the risk of being hurt and 37 times the risk of dying in an accident than any vehicle occupant when the two collide.

Those who ride motorcycles are prone to death and injuries in a way the occupants of other motor vehicles are not. A driver who is not paying attention can suddenly swerve into their lane, causing them to lose control of the bike, resulting in a crash without any actual contact taking place between the two vehicles. If a car suddenly brakes in front of them, a rider can be thrown from their bike and sustain very critical injuries when they hit the pavement.

Let our lawyers deal with the frustrations of the legal process while you focus on healing. If you lost a family member in a motorcycle collision, contact our wrongful death lawyers in Utah at 801-350-3506 to schedule a free case evaluation.
