Kane Co, UT (April 09, 2021) – One person was dead following a two-car crash in southern Utah on Thursday, April 8th.
Sources show that at about 7:15 p.m., a Honda was traveling southbound along U.S. Highway 89, about halfway between Lake Powell and Kanab, when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road and crossed into oncoming traffic where it was broadsided by a northbound Ford F-350 pick-up truck.
The driver of the Honda, who has since been identified as Joshua Ashley, 30, a resident of Arizona, died during the impact.
Two of the occupants in the pick-up truck were transported for non-critical injuries.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, Mr. Joshua Ashley, at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
If a car accident victim wishes to take legal action by filing a claim of personal injury, they have a very specific window of time in which to do so. This time limit, known as the statute of limitations, for car accident-related injuries varies from state to state. In Utah, a crash victim is given four years from the day the accident occurred to file their claim. Once the deadline has passed, any attempt at filing a claim will be denied by the courts.
Due to the fact that time is very limited in these cases, retaining an experienced car accident attorney is the best way to construct your claim, defend your rights, and obtain the financial compensation to which you are entitled.
When victims are injured in accidents caused by the negligence of other drivers, it is crucial that they seek legal guidance from a skilled and knowledgeable car accident attorney in Salt Lake City as soon as possible.
When victims are harmed in collisions, through no fault of their own, they are often able to obtain compensation from wrongdoers to alleviate the financial costs they face for medical treatment, lost wages, property repairs, and a variety of other economic and non-economic damages.
