We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Shane Halloran at this time.
Pedestrians have less protection in the event of a collision, rendering them more vulnerable to fatalities. In 2017, a pedestrian died in a traffic collision every 88 minutes on average, for a total of 5,977 pedestrian deaths in the United States. Pedestrians have the same right to use the road as everyone else, yet many drivers fail to take the necessary measures to keep an eye out for pedestrians. Walkers are 1.5 times more likely to be killed in a collision, according to statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The pain and devastation of losing a loved one as a result of someone else’s negligence is virtually intolerable, and it can leave those close to the victim with unanticipated costs. Survivors frequently bear a variety of losses as a consequence of the tragedy, and they may be able to recover lost compensation by filing a wrongful death claim with the aid of an experienced Salt Lake City personal injury lawyer.
In a wrongful death lawsuit, a representative of the decedent’s estate — generally a close relative — seeks damages from those responsible for the person’s death in order to collect compensation for damages by making the at-fault party responsible for their participation in a fatal accident.
At Jardine Law Offices, we understand the loss and anguish that families go through when a family member is lost as a result of someone else’s acts, and we want to do everything we can to help you get back on your feet. While no amount of money can replace a lost family member, a wrongful death attorney in Salt Lake City can assist families in dealing with the financial consequences of the tragedy.
This compensation should be paid by the responsible party’s insurance carrier. Our legal team is committed to ensuring that each of our clients receives the compensation they are entitled to following the death of a loved one, and this begins with the filing of a wrongful death claim.
