Davis Co, UT (August 17, 2021) – Officials from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office have released the names of the three victims, all of whom were from northern Utah, that died when their plane crashed on Sunday, August 15th in the Sessions Mountains at about 7:30 p.m.
The pilot was identified as 28-year-old J. Parker Christensen, a resident of Ogden.
The passengers were a married couple, 24-year-old Tyson Peterson and 24-year-old Kallie Edwards, both residents of Logan.
The pilot and his two passengers died when their plane, a fixed-wing single-engine Cessna 182H, registered out of Helena, MT., went down in an isolated region of Sessions Mountain in Davis County. This area is controlled by the United States Forest Service.
A helicopter flown by the Department of Public Safety managed to locate the crash scene. Everybody on board was deceased.
The Davis County Sheriff’s Office is working with the National Transportation Safety Board, which is taking the lead in this investigation.
