Car Accidents in Utah

Motor vehicle accidents are an unfortunate fact of life in Utah but that does not mean they are not avoidable or that no one is at fault. In fact, almost 100% of Utah car accidents have their roots in driver negligence.

It is not unusual for collision-related injuries to take several hours or even days to become evident, and even a minor crash can cause serious injuries. This is just one of the reasons you should have a Utah car accident lawyer on your side.

Some car accident injuries that can manifest well after the impact include:

  • Traumatic Brain Injury

There are several forms of brain injuries that can result in lifelong difficulties. One of the more serious injuries you can sustain during a car accident is a traumatic brain injury. This type of injury can happen when your head hits the window, dashboard, or steering wheel. Some common examples of TBIs include concussions, cerebral hemorrhages, and skull fractures.

If you received a traumatic brain injury, you need to follow your doctor’s orders. Then, reach out to a Utah car accident lawyer for help.

  • Mental Health Issues

A lot of people overlook the mental health problems that can arise after a car accident even though they can be very serious. For instance, some people develop post-traumatic stress disorder after a crash. This could make it extremely difficult for them to cope with the stress of driving a car day after day, which will negatively impact their everyday lives.

If you feel you need professional mental help after being involved in a Utah car accident, speak with your primary care physician. The bedrock of mental health treatment is often therapy.

Car accidents can happen anytime, anywhere. This is why it is vital to make safety your number one priority each time you get behind the wheel. Unfortunately, not every other driver is going to do the same, meaning accidents can occur when you least expect them.

After being injured in a vehicle accident you did not cause, contact our Utah personal injury attorneys at (801) 350-3506 to schedule an appointment for a complimentary case review and find out how we can help you.
