Cleveland, UT (May 23, 2022) – A resident of Emery County was arrested on Monday, May 23rd after investigators learned he struck two pedestrians with his truck, killing one of them, but then fled the scene without notifying police.
On Sunday night, a deputy from the Emery County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a woman and man who had been hit by a truck in the 440th block of South Flat Road in Cleveland.
According to a police booking affidavit, both victims were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, but the woman died from her injuries on the way. Her name has not yet been released.
