House Fires in Bountiful

Residential structure fires account for more than 80% of fire-related deaths and injuries in the United States. For the ten-year span from 1997 to 2007, an average of 3,000 victims was killed and an additional 15,340 people sustained injuries as a result of structure fires each year.

Myriad factors can cause deaths and injuries in house fires. such as a contractor’s code violations, faulty fire suppression equipment, faulty fire-retardant products, defective smoke detectors, and damaged electrical equipment.

Utah law permits victims to file a claim of wrongful death or personal injury and qualifies them for financial compensation for any deaths or fire-related injuries that were caused by a faulty product or the malfeasance or negligence of another person.
